Post & packing tips / advice...
PLEASE TAKE CARE when PACKING INSTRUMENTS... Always place the unit /s in a sealed POLYTHENE BAG
( to prevent anything entering the movement through bulb holes etc ) ie. Most instruments contain STRONG MAGNETS
Include a MINIMUM 2 inch's / 50 mm OF SOFT PACKING ALL ROUND ( bubble wrap / poly chips or similar )
Save postal weight & repair time eg. remove all ‘loose’ fixing clamps / voltage regulators / gauges, bulbs etc.
USE A RIGID CARDBOARD BOX & ALWAYS PUT YOUR NAME & ADDRESS ON THE PARCEL ‘AS THE SENDER'...
ALWAYS include your FULL RETURN POSTAL ADDRESS including POSTCODE inside the parcel with your order
Please include ALL the information required to complete the work,
ie. do not refer to emails / texts / phone calls etc
We strongly advise that you do NOT draw attention to your parcel by marking it in any way !
e.g. FRAGILE / GLASS / HANDLE WITH CARE / DELICATE INSTRUMENTS DO NOT DROP / DO NOT CRUSH etc.
Always obtain a Receipt / Proof of postage from the Post office & retain it until receipt of your instrument/s is confirmed...
Use a minimum of Recorded Delivery ( sign for ) or Special Delivery ‘standard service >1.00 pm ( recommended )
* Please do not send orders using the > 9.00am service ! As we cannot guarantee that someone will be available
to ‘sign for the item’... because the Post Office is under contract to deliver > 9.00 am this could mean a delivery
at any time after say 6.30 am...If you wish to use a CARRIER*... Please use a ‘Before 1.00 pm service’ & not ‘Next day’ as no one may be available to sign for a parcel outside normal working hours... latest delivery has been 9.20pm ( by DHL )
